Welcome to CCCP!

A cycling club dedicated to fun, friendly, inclusive riding
in Portland, Maine.

The Community Cycling Club of Portland was founded in 1988 as the Competitive Cycling Club of Portland; since then, CCCP has evolved into a broader-based and more recreational riding club for Greater Portland’s biking community.

Our 3 weekly rides, special events, and destination rides draw a wide range of cyclists, from devoted recreational riders to racers, commuters, and century riders. 20 years old to 60+, we’re just a group of folks who are hooked on biking, love meeting and riding with others, and enjoy finding more ‘enablers’ to help feed our addiction!

CCCP is also committed to developing and expanding the sport of cycling. 20% of all members dues and corporate sponsorship goes towards local kids’ bike programs, The Community Bicycle Center, Bikes for All Mainers, and other non-profits. We are also members and sponsors of The Bicycle Coalition of Maine and the League of American Bicyclists.

We’d love to have you join the club, but at least we hope you’ll join us for a ride. Feel free to sign up for our mailing list; both that and the rides are open to all cyclists, member or not.

COVID-19 We follow CDC guidelines as they develop, but we remind all riders that cycling is a sport with inherent risks, and the coronavirus must now be listed among them.

Ride on!
